Summary:

With this release, RSA provides new enhancements and fixes to issues reported on RSA Adaptive Authentication (On-Premise) 7.x previously released versions. This release also extends the supported platforms available.

What's New in This Release:

New Database Maintenance Tasks

In Adaptive Authentication (On-Premise) version 7.3 P5, the Administration Console, Database Maintenance Tasks includes two new database maintenance parameters:

  • Parallelism. Defines the number of CPUs to engage while loading bindings, and can be configured for Delete Bindings and Delete Unused Desktops Jobs. For Oracle databases only.
  • Number of Threads. Defines the number of threads to run simultaneously to delete unused Desktops IDs, and can be configured for Delete Unused Desktops Jobs. For all databases.

For more information about Database Maintenance Tasks, see the RSA Adaptive Authentication (On-Premise) 7.3 Operations Guide.

Hardware ID and SIM ID Enabled in Policy Manager

In the Policy Manager application, the Hardware ID and SIM ID are enabled. This allows customers to implement policies based on the Hardware ID and SIM ID.

Rules Duplicated to Child Organizations in Adaptive Authentication

In Adaptive Authentication (On-Premise) version 7.3 P5, rules can now be inherited from parent organizations, enhancing efficiency.

For more information on the configuration required for rules duplication, see the RSA Adaptive Authentication (On-Premise) 7.3 P5 Release Notes, New Functionality on page 25.

Note:

Leveraging push notifications through RSA Adaptive Authentication requires licensing the Azure Notification Hub directly with Microsoft. The overall challenge flow is unchanged, but the customer now manages the Notification Hub. The customer must set the table in Azure and follow RSA instructions, which includes creating an Azure table and performing some Azure API tasks, such as updating the API and cleaning up the API in the customer's Azure. RSA assumes no liability or responsibility for the Azure service. For more information, contact your RSA representative.
