|Applies To||RSA Product Set: Adaptive Authentication (OnPrem)|
RSA Product/Service Type: RSA Central
RSA Version/Condition: 18.104.22.168
|Issue||What are the supported platforms for Adaptive Authentication (on Premise) version 7.3 P4?|
|Resolution||RSA Adaptive Authentication (On-Premise) 7.3 P4 supports the following|
• Microsoft Windows Server 2003, 2008 R2, 2012 and 2012 R2
Note: Some versions of Microsoft Windows have a vulnerability in HTTP.sys that could allow remote code
execution. For more information about the vulnerability, see Microsoft Security Bulletin MS15-034.
RSA recommends that, if you use one of the affected operating systems, you apply the patch released by
Microsoft. For more information about the patch, see Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 3042553.
• IBM AIX 6.1 and 7.1
• Solaris/SPARC 10 and Solaris 11.3
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) AS/ES 5.0, AS/ES 6.0, 7.2 and 7.3.
RSA Adaptive Authentication (On-Premise) 7.3 P4 supports the following application servers:
• Apache Tomcat 7.0 and 8.0
Note: Because of issues in the Tomcat 7.0.54 and 7.0.65 builds, RSA recommends that you install Adaptive Authentication (On-Premise) on a later build than 7.0.65
Important: An issue in Tomcat 8 (see Bug 56838 in the Apache Software Foundation bug system) may result in performance degradation as compared with Adaptive Authentication (On-Premise) on Tomcat 7.
To mitigate the issue, RSA recommends that you allocate additional CPU time for the web server.
When deploying web applications on Tomcat 8, to add JDBC data sources in the server.xml file, use the maxTotal property instead of the maxActive property and the maxWaitMillis property instead of the maxWait property.
IBM WebSphere 8.0, 8.5, and 8.5.5
• Oracle WebLogic 10.3.4–10.3.6, 12c,12.1.3 and 22.214.171.124.0
Note: On Installing WebLogic 12.1.3 on RHEL 7.2, a warning is displayed. This is a benign warning message
with no functional impact and should be ignored.
• Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 6.4
Note: There is a known performance issue on JBoss 6.4. For a workaround, see the Installation and Upgrade Guide.
RSA Adaptive Authentication (On-Premise) 7.3 P4 supports the following databases:
• Oracle Database (Enterprise Edition)10g, 11g R2, and 12c
Note: RSA certifies Oracle Database (Enterprise Edition) 12c for non-container database (non-CDB) on a
hardware or virtual environment.
RSA does not certify Oracle Database 12c for multitenant architecture, that is, container databases (CDBs)
and pluggable databases (PDBs) in a cloud environment.
• Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2, 2012, 2014 and 2016
