Unable to open RSA secure web console. It is giving error. I already restarted the server twice.
Are you trying to open Security Console or Operations Console?
Please note that you should use full server FQDN name to access it:
E.g. for operations console:
If that doesn't help - what error message do you get?
Bhavesh,Aleksandr is on the right track for troubleshooting unable to access Security (or Operations) consoles. This could be name resolution or name resolution is good but you did not use the FQDN in your Security console https:// string. The Opoerations console will work with an IP address and :7072/operations-console, but the Security Console needs an FQDN and :7004/console-ims
If the problem is not name resolution or the correct https string, note if there are any details in the web page, something more than just page cannot be displayed. Are there HTTP errors such as 500 internal error or 404 page not found, or 403 access denied / forbidden? A 404 could indicate what Aleksandr oringally thought, that the https string or name resolution is wrong.
Older versions of Auth Manager, before AM 8.1 SP1 P3, only supported SSLv3, TLS1.0 and TLS1.1, but not TLS1.2.
This could show as 'unsupported' protocol if you are using an updated IE, Chrome or FireFox that was configured for TLS ver. 1.2 only.
If you use the Search capability at the Home Page of RSA Link, and search for something like "unsupported protocol or cipher suite", you will find a knowledge base, KB article that will help you configure around a problem like this.
000034384 - After Microsoft Windows update and/or GPO changes, administrative users cannot login to RSA Authentication Manager 8.1 Security Console with Internet Explorer
Which one (or more) of these URL's is not working ?
note: x.x.x.x means either IP address or FQDN will work
this is only on operations console.
all other links require the FQDN, or login will not succeed
