Issue
When Access Fulfillment Express (AFX) is installed on the local server in an RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle WildFly clustered deployment, the AFX Server fails to start: 
$ afx start 
Cannot connect to RSA Identity Governance and Lifecycle. The watchdog will start AFX when it can connect 
to RSA Identity Governance and Lifecycle.
  • The RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle application and database are running.
  • You are executing afx start as the afx user.
Cause
The AFX startup script /home/oracle/AFX/bin/afx_server checks to make sure RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle is running before proceeding with the AFX startup. This problem occurs because the AFX startup script incorrectly identifies the clustered installation as a standalone installation when performing the status check.
 
Resolution
This issue is resolved in the following RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle versions and/or patch levels:
  • RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle 7.0.2 P14
  • RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle 7.1.0 P07
  • RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle 7.1.1 P02
  • RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle 7.2.0
Workaround
Use the afx restart command instead of the afx start command on a Wildfly cluster. The afx restart command does not have this issue because it bypasses the status check. Execute this command as the afx user. 
$ afx restart
