Configure RSA Cloud Authentication Service

1. Enable My Page SSO by accessing the RSA Cloud Admin Console > Access > My Page > Single Sign-On (SSO). Ensure it is enabled and protected using two-factor authentication - Password and Access Policy.
2. On the Applications > Application Catalog page, search for AppDynamics and click Add to add connection.
3. On the Basic Information page, enter a name for the configuration in the Name field and click Next Step.
4. In the Connection Profile section, select the IdP-initiated option.
5. Specify the Service Provider details in the following format: 
   1. Assertion Consumer Service (ACS) URL: https://<controller_account>. saas.appdynamics.com/controller/saml-auth?accountName=<username >.
   2. Service Provider Entity ID: https://<username>. saas.appdynamics.com/controller.

6. In the SAML Response Protection section, select IdP signs assertion within response, and download the certificate by clicking Download Certificate.
7. Under the User Identity section, select Show Advanced Configuration, then configure Identifier Type and Property as follows: 
   1. Identifier Type: Auto Detect 
   2. Property: Auto Detect

8. Under the Statement Attributes section, add the attributes from AppDynamics Cloud Monitoring as shown in the following figure.

8. Click Next Step.
9. Choose your desired Access Policy for this application and click Next Step > Save and Finish.
10. On the My Applications page, click the Edit dropdown and select Export Metadata to download the metadata.
11. Click Publish Changes to save your settings. After publishing, your application will be enabled for SSO.

Configure AppDynamics Cloud Monitoring

1. Log in to Cisco AppDynamics and launch your controller. https://accounts.appdynamics.com.
2. Click the gear icon.

3. Select Administration.
4. Click the Authentication Provider tab and select SAML.
5. Provide the following details and click Save.
   1. Login URL: The value of SingleSignOnServvice, obtainable from the metadata file downloaded from the RSA platform.
   2. Select Login URL Method as POST.
   3. Identity Provider Certificate: Copy and paste the downloaded certificate from the RSA platform.
