Delete a Web-Tier Deployment Record
You can delete a web-tier deployment record for a web tier that is no longer in use, for example, when you delete a web-tier deployment. Deleting the web-tier deployment record removes the record from the database. You also stop communication between the web-tier deployment and the preferred instance.
Deleting a web-tier deployment record does not uninstall the web tier.
Before you begin
You must be a Super Admin.
Procedure
In the Operations Console on the primary instance, click Deployment Configuration > Web-Tier Deployments > Manage Existing.
If prompted, enter your Super Admin User ID and password.
From the list of web-tier deployment records, click a record to delete.
From the context menu, click Delete.
On the confirmation screen, select Yes, delete this web-tier deployment to confirm the deletion.
Click Delete Web-Tier Deployment.
After you finish
If applicable, remove the entry in the DNS table that points to the deleted web-tier deployment.
If the deployment includes a load balancer, make sure it properly handles failover.
