Edit an Authentication Agent
You can edit information about the agent, such as the name and IP address, move the agent to a new security domain, or make other changes. You can also delete, enable, and disable agents.
Procedure
In the Security Console, click Access > Authentication Agents > Manage Existing.
Click the Restricted or Unrestricted tab, depending on whether the agent that you want to search for is restricted or unrestricted.
Use the search fields to find the agent that you want to manage.

Click the agent that you want to edit, and click Edit.
Make any necessary changes to the agent record.
Click Save.
Update an agent IP address To manually update the IP address of an existing agent, you must edit the agent record.
Your agent may require an alternate IP address to be configured. Alternate IP addresses are used, for example, if the agent has more than one network interface card, or is located behind a static network address translation (NAT) firewall.
Click the agent that you want to edit, and click Edit.
- In the IP Address field, enter the IP address of the agent.
If you choose an existing server name, then this field automatically displays the IP address, and the field is read-only.
- In the Alternate IP Address field, enter alternate IP addresses for the agent.
The alternate IP addresses are used, for example, if the agent has more than one network interface card, or is located behind a static NAT firewall. It is possible that your agent does not have alternate IP addresses.
- Click Save.
Disable an authentication agent When you disable an agent, users can no longer access resources protected by the agent. Click the agent that you want to edit, and click Edit.
- Under Authentication Agent Attributes, select Agent is disabled
Click Save.
Duplicate an authentication agent When you duplicate an agent, a new agent is created with information identical to the original agent. You can duplicate an agent whenever you want to use an existing agent as a template for new agents. Click the agent that you want to duplicate, and click Duplicate.
Enter a new name and IP address for the agent.
Click Save.
Delete an authentication agent You need to delete an authentication agent after you remove a web server or retire a deployment. Deleting the agent removes it from your deployment and from reports.
After you delete an agent, the agent can no longer authenticate users.
Deleting the agent from AM does not remove the agent software from the agent host. You must manually uninstall the agent software. For instructions, see your agent documentation.
Select the checkbox next to the agent that you want to delete.
From the Action menu click Delete.
Click Go.
Click OK in the delete dialog box to confirm deletion.
Move an authentication agent to a new security domain When you move agents between security domains, the agent can only be managed by administrator's whose administrative scope includes the new security domain. - Select the checkbox next to the agents that you want to move.
From the Action menu, click Move to Security Domain.
Click Go.
From the Security Domain drop-down list, select the security domain to which you want to move the agent.
Click Move.
