Issue
There are tables in the AVUSER schema prefaced with GTT_ and often empty of data. What is the purpose of these tables?
 
Resolution
Any table that starts with GTT is an Oracle Global Temporary Table, that is used by the RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle application to capture data at specific points of processing. The data captured in these tables is transient in nature. The size of these tables can vary depending on the process that is running at the time (i.e. Collections, Rules, Reviews) and the amount of data being processed. When processing these tables, Oracle uses the Temporary Tablespace (TEMP). Once the processing is complete, Oracle will release the space used by these tables.
