Generating a Report on a Windows platform hosting Web Tier software

Issue
The Authentication Manager primary instance is reporting a status other than Online for a web tier deployment running on a supported Windows platform.  For example, Offline, Pending Connection or Reinstall Required, and further investigation is required. Or the web tier installation is failing on the Windows platform.
Resolution

The PowerShell script attached to this article will prompt for the web tier installation folder and generate a report based on data used by the web tier itself. Should the PowerShell script fail to find web tier software in the web tier installation folder provided it will generate only a basic report.

Installation & Usage

  1. Download and copy the PowerShell script called 'wtcheck.ps1' into a folder on the Windows platform hosting the web tier.
  2. Right-click the PowerShell script called 'wtcheck.ps1' and select 'Run with PowerShell'

  1. When prompted enter the installation folder for the web tier

Data is compiled and tests performed where the web tier folder is found. A detailed HTML report on Computer Information, Operating System Information, Windows Running Services, Windows Firewall Status Port Connection and Name Resolution Results (for ports and hostnames used by the web tier) is generated.

Notes

The PowerShell script is called 'wtcheck.ps1'.

Please provide a copy of the web tier HTML report to SecurID Customer Support where you are working an open case with a SecurID technical support engineer.
