Issue
This article provides an approach to recover RSA SecurID hardware or software tokens accidentally deleted from the Security Console.
Resolution
  1. From the Operations Console navigate to Maintenance > Backup > Backup Now and take a backup of the database.
  2. Login to the primary's Security Console.
  3. Navigate to Authentication > SecurID Tokens > Import Tokens Job > Add New.
  4. Under the Import Options, click Choose File and browse to the file that contains the token seeds that you wish to import. Provide a file password if the file is password protected.
  5. Make sure that Ignore all duplicate tokens is checked. This option will import only the tokens that were deleted from the Security Console and leave all other tokens in the database and properly assigned to users. Choosing the option to overwrite all duplicate tokens does just that and will break that user/token connection.

Notes
The token .xml file referenced in this article can be downloaded from https://my.rsa.com. Note that RSA only keeps token files for 150 days from posting. If you need the file(s) after that, please contact your RSA sales representative or reseller to purchase replacements.

If there are tokens in this batch that were previously deleted on purpose, they will be restored to the database and will need to be removed again.
