Kanban Tool - SAML SSO Agent Configuration - SecurID Access Implementation Guide

This section describes how to integrate SecurID Access with Kanban Tool using a SAML SSO Agent.

Configure SecurID Cloud Authentication Service

Perform these steps to configure Cloud Authentication Service as an SSO Agent SAML IdP to Kanban Tool.

Procedure

    1. Sign into the Cloud Administration Console and browse to Applications > Application Catalog.

    2. Search for Kanban Tool and click on +Add to add the connector.

    3. On Basic Information page enter a Name for the application, ie. Kanban Tool Then click on Next Step.

    4. On Connection Profile page.

        1. Choose SP-Initiated and choose Redirect.

        1. In Connection URL field enter the enter URL in the below format https://<your_domain>.kanbantool.com. Where <your_domain> is the specific name for your instance of Kanban Tool. For example, https://myapp.kanbantool.com. This corresponds to the Start Page provided in the Kanban Tool configuration below.
        2. Note the Identity Provider URL and Issuer Entity ID. These values are automatically generated. They may be needed later for the configuration of Kanban Tool.

        3. Click on Generate Cert Bundle, set a a common name for your company certificate. Then click Generate and Download .

        4. Select Choose File and upload the private key from the generated certificate bundle.

        5. Select Choose File and upload the cert.pem from the generated certificate bundle.

        6. Select Include Certificate on Outgoing Assertion.

        1. Scroll down to Service Provider section.

        2. Enter the Assertion Consumer Service (ACS) This is the Access / Login URL based on the <your_domain>  of your instance of Kanban Tool. The Access / Login URL is shown in the Kanban Tool configuration below. For example hhttps://myapp.kanbantool.com/saml/complete. configuration below.

        3. Enter the Audience (Service Provider Issuer ID) . This is the Entity ID based on the <your_domain> of your instance of Kanban Tool. The Entity ID is shown in the Kanban Tool configuration below. For example https://myapp.kanbantool.com.

        1. Scroll down to User Identity section.

        2. Ensure Identifier Type = Email Address, set your Identity Source and Property = mail.

      1. Click Next Step.

    5. On User Access page select the Access Policy you require. Allow All Authenticated Users is the least restrictive. Click Next Step.

    1. On Portal Display Page.

      1. Select Display in Portal.

      2. Upload an Application Icon if you wish.

      3. Set an Application Tooltip if you wish.

      4. Click on Save and Finish.

      5. For this new Connector, click on the down arrow next to the Edit button and Export Metadata.

    2. Click on Publish Changes. Your application is now enabled for SSO. If you make any additional changes to the application configuration you will need to republish.

Configure Kanban Tool

Perform these steps to integrate Kanban Tool with SecurID Access as a SAML SSO Agent.

Procedure

  1. Sign into Kanban Tool and click on Account administration.

  2. Click on Single Sign-On and select enable SAML2 Single Sign On.

  3. In the note section "You may need the following details to complete the setup on the IdP site". Note Access/Login URL, Entity ID, and Start page values. These are needed in the SecurID Cloud Authentication Service configuration above.

  4. In the SAML Login URL.

  5. For Security Certificate click on Choose File and upload the public certificate (cert.pem) used in the SecurID Cloud Authentication Service configured above.

  6. Click Save changes.

Configuration is complete.
