Quickbase - SAML SSO Agent Configuration - RSA Ready SecurID Access Implementation Guide

This section describes how to integrate RSA SecurID Access with Quickbase using a SAML SSO Agent.

Configure RSA Cloud Authentication Service

Perform these steps to configure RSA Cloud Authentication Service as an SSO Agent SAML IdP to Quickbase.

Procedure

1. Sign into the RSA Cloud Administration Console and browse to Applications > Application Catalog

2. Click on Create From Template found in he upper right of the page then select SAML Direct

3. On Basic Information page enter a Name for the application, ie. Quickbase Then click on Next Step.

4. On Connection Profile page

   1. In Connection URL field, verify the default setting

   2. Choose IDP-Initiated or SP-Initiated

      
      
      

   3. Scroll down to SAML Identity Provider (Issuer) section.

   4. Note the Identity Provider URL and Issuer Entity ID. These values are automatically generated. They may be needed later for the configuration of Quickbase

   5. Click on Generate Cert Bundle, set a a common name for your company certificate. Then click Generate and Download

   6. Select Choose File and upload the private key from the generated certificate bundle

   7. Select Choose File and upload the cert from the generated certificate bundle

   8. Select Include Certificate on Outgoing Assertion

      
      
      

   9. Scroll down to Service Provider section

   10. Enter the Assertion Consumer Service (ACS) based on your domain https://<DOMAIN>/saml/SSOAssert.aspx of your instance of Quickbase For example https://rsa-4838.quickbase.com/saml/SSOAssert.aspx. Additional information can be found in the Quickbase documentation.

   11. Enter the Audience (Service Provider Issuer ID) based on your domain https://<DOMAIN>/saml/SSOAssert.aspx of your instance oQuickbase. For example https://rsa-4838.quickbase.com/saml/SSOAssert.aspx.

       

        

   12. Scroll down to User Identity section

   13. Ensure Identifier Type = Email Address, set your Identity Source and Property = mail

       

        

   14. Expand Show Advanced Configuration

   15. In Attribute Extension section click +ADD

   16. Add Attribute Name = FirstName and Property = givenName

   17. click +ADD again

   18. Add Attribute Name = LastName and Property = distinguisedName

   19. Click Next Step

5. On User Access page select the Access Policy you require. Allow All Authenticated Users is the least restrictive. Click Next Step

   

    

6. On Portal Display Page

   1. Select Display in Portal

   2. Upload an Application Icon if you wish

   3. Set an Application Tooltip if you wish.

   4. Click on Save and Finish

7. Browse to Application > My Applications

8. Locate newly create application for Quickbase

9. Click on Down Arrow next to Edit button

10. Select Export Metadata data. This will be used below for Quickbase configuration.

11. Click on Publish Changes. Your application is now enabled for SSO. If you make any additional changes to the application configuration you will need to republish.

    

     

Configure Quickbase

Perform these steps to integrate Quickbase Quickbase with RSA SecurID Access as a SAML SSO Agent.

Procedure

1. Sign into Quickbase Admin console and select SAML Authentication.

2. From the IdP metadata file clic Choose file and upload the file exported above.

3. Using the Identity Provider URL from configuration above, copy URL into Sign-in URL field.

4. Using the Issuer Entity ID from configuration above, copy URL into Entity ID field.

5. Fill in any other required fields based on your environment

6. Click on Submit.

Configuration is complete.
