Issue
After migrating from RSA Authentication Manager 7.1 to Authentication Manager 8.1, the RADIUS server(s) is missing in the Security Console and Operations Console. The following use case scenarios may be presented:
  • The RADIUS server is missing for one of the replica servers.
  • No RADIUS servers are listed on the primary or any of the replica RADIUS servers.
Cause
This happens when one of the authentication agents (unrestricted/restricted) has the IP or hostname that is same as the server IP of the new 8.X Authentication Manager. If this agent conflicts with primary server, none of the radius servers will show up in either the security console or operations console.  If this conflicting agent conflicts with one of the replica server's IP, then radius server for that replica server will not show up in security console/operations console.
Resolution
To resolve this issue,
  1. Log into the Authentication Manager primary's Security Console.
  2. Navigate to Access > Authentication Agents > Manage Existing.
  3. Find the agent that has the conflict with the server's IP address.
  • Be sure to check both the unrestricted and restricted agent lists for the conflict.
  1. Delete the conflicting agent.
  2. Restart the Authentication Manager services.
  3. Login to the Security Console to confirm that the missing RADIUS servers are now in the RADIUS server list.
Notes
If the agent cannot be deleted for any reason, a change to the IP address/hostname of the Authentication Manager server itself can be made or redeploy Authentication Manager with the new IP address/hostname that does not conflict with the agents.
