RSA-2026-17: RSA Authentication Manager Security Update for Third-Party Component Vulnerabilities
Last Modified: 2026-09-30
RSA Advisory Identifier
RSA-2026-17
Severity Rating
Critical

Summary

The following RSA Authentication Manager 8.9 packages contain resolutions to multiple CVEs addressed in the latest Oracle CSPU and in SUSE-announced Linux component updates:

  • RSA Authentication Manager 8.9 Patch 5 or later patches
  • RSA Authentication Manager 8.9 Web-Tier server Patch 5 or later web-tier patches

RSA only provides patches, including Oracle CSPU, for the latest released version of Authentication Manager.

Recommendation

RSA strongly recommends the immediate application of the AM patch. The release addresses multiple critical security vulnerabilities. Customers should prioritize upgrading at the earliest.

Patch 5 and the updated Web Tier server are available for download through the following links:

Important Note from the Oracle Critical Security Patch Update Advisory

Oracle strongly recommends that customers remain on actively supported versions and apply Critical Patch Update/Critical Security Patch Update security patches without delay. Oracle continues to periodically receive reports of attempts to maliciously exploit vulnerabilities for which Oracle has already released security patches. In some instances, it has been reported that attackers have been successful because targeted customers had failed to apply available Oracle patches.

The update also resolves additional issues in components and features that do not impact the security of the RSA Authentication Manager appliance and are not listed. This includes issues which have a local attack vector and so require that any exploit be performed by a user logged in locally to the OS (for the Authentication Manager appliance, this is the appliance administrator, rsaadmin, who already has access to root privilege), and issues in code paths that are not present or not reachable on the shipped appliance.

This patch is cumulative and includes the fixes released in previous patches and hotfixes.

For more information about any of the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) mentioned here, consult the National Vulnerability Database (NVD) at http://nvd.nist.gov/home.cfm. To search for a particular CVE, use the database’s search utility at http://web.nvd.nist.gov/view/vuln/search.
