The iShield Key Manager 1.13.1 release delivers important functional and security updates across the GUI, CLI, and PIV components. This update enhances usability, improves consistency between interfaces, and strengthens communication security. The release also introduces support for advanced key handling and simplifies certificate management, ensuring a more reliable experience across all supported platforms.

Changes in iShield Key Manager 1.13.1

The following section outlines the important changes  included in this release. 

GUI

Passcode (OTP) Module

  • Displays the slot number of OTP seeds, ensuring GUI and CLI displays are consistent.

PIV

  • Supports importing a single PKCS#12 file (key + certificate) instead of two separate files.
  • Includes security improvements for iShield communication and management.

CLI

  • Supports importing a single PKCS#12 file (key + certificate) instead of two separate files.

PIV Minidriver (OpenSC 0.26.3-Swissbit-piv)

  • Adds support for RSA 4096-bit symmetric keys.
  • This driver is digitally signed with a certificate that meets the Microsoft Local Security Authority (LSA) requirements, eliminating the need to disable LSA via a GPO for the iShield minidriver to work on recent releases of Windows 11.
