Issue
The operating system password does not work in a VMware console after completing the Authentication Manager 8.1 Quick Setup process for a VMware virtual server.
Cause
This issue is caused by a known issue where the right shift key stops working altogether in the Linux host environment in VMware.
Resolution
Type in the OS password in the username field and see if what you are typing matches what you see.  If you encounter a problem, try using the left shift key instead. 
Notes
A bug has been reported to VMware.
