RSA Authentication Manager 8.7 SP1 Patch 1 Hotfix 1
2 years ago

Affected Products

  • RSA Authentication Manager 8.7 SP1
  • RSA Authentication Manager 8.7 SP1 Patch 1

Issue Details

A critical bug has been found, due to the underlying SUSE library used in RSA Authentication Manager 8.7 SP1 and RSA Authentication Manager 8.7 SP1 Patch 1. The SUSE operating system upgrade in these Authentication Manager versions required the text indices to be reindexed, or there may be corruption on the first write access to the database. Reading from the DB does not do any harm to the stored data, but the results may be unexpected or even wrong.

Recommendation

To address the above issue, RSA has released RSA Authentication Manager 8.7 SP1 Patch 1 Hotfix 1. RSA strongly recommends that those customers who have deployed the affected versions must apply the RSA Authentication Manager 8.7 SP1 Patch 1 Hotfix 1. The hotfix upgrade may take several minutes to complete based on the database size, so the customers are advised to plan the maintenance window to apply the hotfix. If your organization is still on Authentication Manager 8.7 SP1 deployment, you can skip patch 1 and directly upgrade to this hotfix which includes all the enhancements and the issues fixed in 8.7 SP1 Patch 1.
