Issue
When users try to request new tokens through the Self-Service Console, it fails with the following error:

SOFTWARE_TOKEN_NOT_AVAILABLE_IN_SYSTEM_WITH_EXP_CRITERIA

There are unassigned tokens in Authentication Manager and all expired tokens have been deleted, as per 000036791 - SOFTWARE_TOKEN_NOT_AVAILABLE_IN_SYSTEM_WITH_EXP_CRITERIA Software token of the requested type is not available in your security domain scope in the expiration criteria configured in System Settings > Tokens

Resolution
  1. Login to the primary RSA Authentication Manager Security Console.
  2. Navigate to Setup > System Settings > Authentication SettingsTokens.
  3. Under Token Assignment, there is an option labeled Only automatically assign tokens that do not expire for.
  4. Change this value to a smaller number, such that it matches the expiration date of the tokens you have in your deployment..
