This article describes how to integrate Tableau with RSA Cloud Authentication Service using My Page SSO.

Configure RSA Cloud Authentication Service

Perform these steps to configure RSA Cloud Authentication Service using My Page SSO.
Procedure

1. Enable My Page SSO by accessing the RSA Cloud Administrator Console > Access > My Page > Single Sign-On (SSO). Ensure it is enabled and protected using two-factor authentication - Password and Access Policy.                                                                   
2. On the Applications > Application Catalog page, search for Tableau and click Add to add the connection.                                                  
3.  On the Basic Information page, enter a name for the configuration in the Name field and click Next Step.                                         
4. On the Connection Profile page, click the IdP-initiated option.                                                                                                                 
5. For providing Service Provider details:
   1. Click Import Metadata and click Choose File. 
   2. Select the file that is downloaded from the Service Provider.
      See the Configure Tableau section for the instructions on how to obtain Tableau metadata.                                                
6. Review the ACS URL and Service Provider Entity ID values that are auto-filled.                                                                                
7. In the SAML Response Protection section, choose IdP signs assertion within response.
8. Download the certificate by clicking Download Certificate.                                                                                                                           
9. Click Show Advanced Configuration.
10.  Under the User Identity section, configure Identifier Type and Property. For example, Identifier Type: emailAddress and Property: mail.                                                                                                                                                                                          
11. Click Next Step.
12. Choose your desired Access Policy for this application and click Next Step > Save and Finish.                                                                 
13. On the My Applications page, click the Edit drop-down list and select Export Metadata to download the metadata.                          
14. Click Publish Changes. Your application is now enabled for SSO.                                                                                                               

Notes

In RSA, under the Encrypt Assertion section, clear the checkbox. This field is automatically populated during the Tableau metadata import. Tableau SAML SSO integration may not work if encryption is enabled.

Configure Tableau

Perform these steps to configure Tableau.
Procedure

1. Sign in to Tableau as Site Administrator creator - https://sso.online.tableau.com.
2. Navigate to the settings page by clicking the gear icon.                                                                                                                               
3. Click Authentication and select the Enable an additional authentication method checkbox.                                                                    
4. Select Authentication type as SAML.                                                                                                                                                             
5. Click Export metadata.                                                                                                                                                                                     
6. Click Choose a file and upload the metadata file downloaded from RSA.                                                                                                      
7. Click Save Changes.                                                                                                                                                                                        
8. Navigate to the Site Users page, click the ellipsis button, and select Authentication for the users you wish to enable Single Sign-on.   
9. Select securid.com (SAML) and click Update.                                                                                                                                            

The configuration is complete.
