Uptime - SAML SSO Agent Configuration - SecurID Access Implementation Guide

This section describes how to integrate SecurID Access with Uptime using a SAML SSO Agent.

Configure SecurID Access Cloud Authentication Service

Perform these steps to configure SecurID Access Cloud Authentication Service(CAS) as an SSO Agent SAML IdP to Uptime.

Procedure

  1. Sign into the Cloud Administration Console and browse to Applications > Application Catalog.

  2. Click on Create From Template found in he upper right of the page then select SAML Direct.

  3. On Basic Information page enter a Name for the application, ie. Uptime Then click on Next Step.

  4. On Connection Profile page.

    1. In Connection URL field, verify the default setting.

    2. Choose IDP-Initiated or SP-Initiated.

    3. Scroll down to SAML Identity Provider (Issuer) section.

    4. Note the Identity Provider URL and Issuer Entity ID. These values are automatically generated. They may be needed later for the configuration of Uptime.

    5. Click on Generate Cert Bundle, set a a common name for your company certificate. Then click Generate and Download .

    6. Select Choose File and upload the private key from the generated certificate bundle.

    7. Select Choose File and upload the cert from the generated certificate bundle.

    8. Select Include Certificate on Outgoing Assertion .

    9. Scroll down to Service Provider section.

    10. Enter the Assertion Consumer Service (ACS) From the Uptime configuration below for ACS URL For example: https://uptime.com/accounts/sso/saml/acs/6026a334c0594fda995597842f7662a2.

    11. Enter the Audience (Service Provider Issuer ID) From the Uptime EntityID. For example: https://uptime.com/saml/6026a334c0594fda995597842f7662a2.

    12. Scroll down to User Identity section .

    13. Ensure Identifier Type = Email Address, set your Identity Source and Property = mail.

    14. Expand Show Advanced Configuration .

    15. In Attribute Extension section click +ADD . Note Property values may vary configurations.

    16. Add Attribute Name = Email and Property = mail.

    17. In Attribute Extension section click +ADD.

    18. Add Attribute Name = Name ID and Property = mail.

    19. In Attribute Extension section click +ADD.

    20. Add Attribute Name = First Name and Property = givenName.

    21. In Attribute Extension section click +ADD.

    22. Add Attribute Name = Last Name and Property = sn.

    23. Click Next Step.

  5. On User Access page select the Access Policy you require. Allow All Authenticated Users is the least restrictive. Click Next Step.

  6. On Portal Display Page

    1. Select Display in Portal.

    2. Upload an Application Icon if you wish.

    3. Set an Application Tooltip if you wish.

    4. Click on Save and Finish.

  7. Browse to Application > My Applications .

  8. Locate newly create application for Uptime

  9. Click on Down Arrow next to Edit button

  10. Select Export Metadata data. This will be used below for Uptime configuration.

  11. Click on Publish Changes. Your application is now enabled for SSO. If you make any additional changes to the application configuration you will need to republish.

Configure Uptime

Perform these steps to integrate Uptime with SecurID Access as a SAML SSO Agent.

Procedure

  1. Sign into Uptime and browse to Settings > SSO.

  2. Under Step 1.

  3. Note the EntityID and ACS URL this is used above in the SecurID Access Cloud Authenitcation Service (CAS) configuration.

  4. Under Step 2.

  5. For the SSO Target URL enter the Identity Provider URL above. For example, https://portal.sso.pe.rsa.net/IdPServlet?idp_id=1uaoqbsphit2y.

  6. For the Identity Provider's EntityID enter the Issuer Entity ID from above. For example, 1uaoqbsphit2y.

  7. In the Identity Provider's Certificate field, use the contents of the metadata XML file downloaded above and copy the X.509 certification information between the tags <ds:X509Certificate></ds:X509Certificate> and paste it in the IDP Certificate field.

  8. In the User Field Mappings, click on + button to add the 2 user properties

    1. User Property = nameID and Field Value = givenName.

    2. User Property = email and Field Value = mail.

  9. Click on Save Settings

To check the SP configuration copy paste the WAYFless URL in the search bar. For example, https://uptime.com/accounts/sso/saml/login/6026a334c0594fda995597842f7772a2.
