User authentication fails with the error code “INIT_CANNOT_FIND_USER” from SAML application using MS Edge browser

Issue
Users are attempting to authenticate to access a SAML application integrated with the Cloud Authentication Service using the MS Edge browser, and the authentication fails with the error code “INIT_CANNOT_FIND_USER” shown in the Cloud Administration Console > Users > User Event Monitor. Users are able to successfully access the SAML application when using another browser, such as Firefox.
Cause
MS Edge has additional requirements to allow for SAML authentication when using the browser.
Resolution
MS Edge has some additional requirements such as Compatibility mode and group policy. Follow the steps outlined in:
