Using Windows Share as update source fails with error "mount error(13): Permission denied Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs)" on RSA Authentication Manager 8.4 and up

Issue
Unable to use Windows Share as the update source after upgrading to RSA Authentication Manager 8.4. The following error is observed:
mount error(13): Permission denied Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs)
Cause
The Windows username for the shared drive is set to domain\username, for example, 2k8r2-vcloud.local\administrator resulting in connection failure.
Resolution
Updating the Windows username from domain\username to username resolves the issue.
Procedure
- In the Operations Console, click Maintenance > Update & Rollback.
- On the Update & Rollback page, the default update source is your local browser.
- To change that setting, click Configure Update Source. Update the Windows Username field from domain\username to username.
- Click Save.
