Issue

Critical event notifications for the inability to sync time. It looks like the NTP servers might be outdated. However, when I go into the Operations Console to attempt to edit the time, received System Internal Error: 

There was a problem processing your request. Please contact your system administrator! To continue, return home   Any assistance in resolving this would be greatly appreciated.

Cause
NTP and VM Host TimeSync should not be enabled at the same time.
Resolution

Turn off VMware Tools Time Sync

On VMware Workstation, Fusion, or before vSphere 7.0 U1:

Launch vSphere Client, go to Edit Settings > VM Options > VMware Tools > Time, and deselect the checkbox "Synchronize guest time with host"

On vSphere 7.0 U1 and above:

Launch vSphere Client, go to Edit Settings > VM Options > VMware Tools > Synchronize Time with Host, and deselect the checkbox "Synchronize time periodically" and "Synchronize at startup and resume (recommended)"
