Issue
Error message when changing the passwords for user accounts on the NIC appliance.
Resolution
When changing the default password to a new password for any account on the NIC appliance, you might encounter an error stating that ?The password does not meet the password policy requirements".
Check the password policy requirements are on the appliance by selecting Start --> Programs --> Administrative Tools --> Local Security Policy.
Double click ?Password Policy? in the left pane, and in the right pane, you will see a listing of what the password requirements are.
Verify that the new password meets the Effective Policy settings.
