While trying to reimage, an error appears.

"no bootable 9x or NT image"
"no 9x or NT boot available"

Resolution

When using a reimaging DVD to restore an enVision server to its original settings, the reimage fails, and an error appears:

"no 9x or NT boot available"
or
"no bootable 9x or NT image"

The hard drive order settings in the BIOS are both set to the Primary IDE drive, which does not have a formatted partition. The setting should have the first hard drive set to the onboard PCI Raid adapter and the second hard drive set to the primary IDE.

NOTE:  This solution only applies to the 50-series appliance.  The Dell 60-series does not have the same BIOS option.  Should you encounter the same error on the Dell 60-Series Appliance, please double-check the image that you're using...you should have downloaded and/or received a Windows 2003 64-bit for the 60-Series Image.

Refer to this Re-Imaging And Re-Installing Envision for details on how to download the correct image.
