Issue
FSM error message "FSSVC-33056" when trying to add users

The FSM adapters on both node of the cluster are configured to use g:\FSM_AUDIT for audit files, and g:\FSM_DATA for adapters data file. Users data protected by FSM are also on the G drive in another directory. The G drive is the clustered drive.


The error shows that VDSFWinPCService.exe is crashing when the operation is done.

The application, C:\Program Files\RSA File Security Windows Adapter\VDSFWinPCService.exe, generated an application error The error occurred on 09/14/2009 @ 14:44:46.640 The exception generated was c0000005 at address 0000000078148DC9 (MSVCR80!vfwprintf_p)


Cause

issue in x64 adapter when we query the domain user information (SID).


trust between Primary domain and the trusted domain failed.

error number 1788 (ERROR_TRUSTED_DOMAIN_FAILURE) indicates that "The trust relationship between the primary domain and the trusted domain failed."


Resolution
Fix trust between the two Windows domains
