Questions for the Scaleout StateServer Integration Discussion
Q: So RSA going to get rid of RSA Archer Cache service?
A: Yes. Per my blog from Nov (https://community.rsa.com/community/products/archer-grc/archer-customer-partner-community/blog/2018/...) the embedded RSA Archer caching service has been deprecated.
Q: What Archer components (metadata, records, graphics, etc.) are cached?
A: Metadata consists of application details, field types, values lists, cross references, etc.
Q: What is involved in the setup of ScaleOut and Archer from the ScaleOut perspective? How long is a typical install/setup?
A: The setup of ScaleOut and Archer from a ScaleOut perspective is very clear and concise. A typical setup takes from 30 minutes to a few hours, depending on the complexity of the associated architecture (VMs, network, etc.)
Q: What about SaaS clients? What should we do?
A: Caching is included with Archer Hosted.
Q: Brian, which one does RSA use Reddis or Scaleout for caching for SaaS clients?
A: RSA Archer uses ScaleOut
Q: Can Navigation menus be cached?
A: I've confirmed that navigation menus are not cached.
Questions for the Archer Scripts Data Driven Event Analysis Tool & Utility
Q: If we want to try out the DDE Anaysis tool, where can we find out the trial?
A: You can reach out to email@example.com for further information.
Q: What about when an ACL action R/O config applies to a section of fields rather than to individual fields?
A: Yes, this can be done.
Q: Are the fields in the section listed as Read Only?
Q: What about a SaaS client? How we try it?
A: The database data feed is not available for SaaS customers, so this tool is not available for them.
Q: Does the DDE monitoring will automatically fetch the new DDE information also?
A: Yes, it can be scheduled.
Q: I briefly heard you mention the database datafeed. What other components are necessary for setup (ODA License, etc.)?
A: It needs an ODA and database data feed.
Questions for the HCL Tax Risk Management App-Pack Discussion
Q: We have there personas. Can you classfy: Which one is 1LOD (line of Defense) or 2LOD?
A: Chief accountants would fall into 1st LOD, Tax coordinators will align to 2nd LOD. Group tax team will be responsible for interfacing with 3rd line of defense and audit.
Q: Are there any authoritative external tax dependencies for the application required?
A: From a quantitative risk assessment, the only dependency is the historical currency exchange data (for external subscription if not available within the organization). However, this can be discussed in case of interest and packaged as a part of implementation offering.
For integration with larger Compliance and risk program and to be assessed from regulatory change perspective, subscription to Regulatory feeds (like Thompson Reuters, Wolters Kluwer etc.) be required. However this completely depends on the maturity of process within an organization.
