Cyber and security breaches continue to make front page news. The identification of potential security issues and the response process to a possible cyber incident are the first lines of defense against a significant business event.
The new RSA Archer Cyber Incident & Breach Response use case is designed to align security with business risk. Introduced in RSA Archer Release 6.4, this new use case combines the functionality of the RSA Archer Security Incident Management and RSA Archer Security Operations & Breach Response use cases into a single use case offering.
RSA Archer Cyber Incident & Breach Response provides a consistent measure of control efficacy and centralizes the process for responding to business impacting security incidents. It brings together cyber incident and breach response operations capabilities, including cataloging organizational and IT assets, establishing asset business context to drive incident prioritization, and escalating, investigating, and resolving declared incidents.
The RSA Archer Cyber Incident & Breach Response use case provides :
- A built-in declared incident workflow to ensure that security events get escalated quickly and consistently
- A new advanced workflow for the Security Incidents application, providing more insight into the velocity of declared cyber and security incidents, and allowing more efficient utilization of security team resources, which results in faster response, analysis, and closure rates for critical security incidents
- Updated metrics to capture the total time spent in an analyst’s queue, time spent in each status category, and corresponding reporting for the incident coordinator and Security Operations Center (SOC) manager personas
