6.4.x Search / Index / usp_reindex_content Issue
We're having a search/index problem on a 22.214.171.124 single server single instance system.
The index file location is on the server. The record count is small and hardware resources should not be an issue.
The issue is that some records cannot be found, but others can. Not sure when it started.
I've turned up the logging and enabled the index log in the queuing service config file and restarted the service.
When I run usp_reindex_content with a problematic record, nothing is logged.
I see other records being indexed with the verbose logging enabled.
Nothing is in the queue in the DB and there are no errors in any relevant logs that I see.
We are considering doing a full rebuild, but wanted to see if anyone had any ideas first.
Thanks in advance,
I tried running usp_reindex_content and also editing the record in the UI, but the queuing log doesn't show any reference to the record being queued. (It shows other records being indexed.) It seems like that proc just isn't doing what its supposed to do.
I would not do a full index rebuild until you get some idea why the content is not working.
As Mahe said updating the record will reindex the whole record so not sure why that is not working. Running the procedure usp_reindex_content does nothing but retrieve the content to provide to the queuing service so just executing it will not update the index.
Are the tables tblSearchMessageQueue and tblSearchMessageContent empty? If not you need to see if the index processing is work or not.
