Archer Infrastructure Question - what services to run
We have a simple Archer installation, with one database server and two application servers. These servers have a load balancer in front of them so they both service web requests. Currently, we run all Archer services on one of these servers, but only the configuration service on the other. My question is, what is the best service configuration for this environment. Should we, in fact be running the Job Engine service on both servers. Does are load balance the jobs between the two? And what should we do for the LDAP and Queueing Services?
It would be nice to get some recommendations
Depending on the amount of concurrent users, number of records, and amount of data feeds, you may want to consider using one server exclusively for jobs and the other server exclusively for web components.
If you use a server that runs both the web and all services, the job engine, ldap, and queuing service could contribute to utilizing a large amount of resources on the machine. When the resources are consumed (most especially RAM), the users that are using the web portion of this server can experience slow performance.
