I have an application where we enter issues one by one. I need to be able to have a calculated field that displays percentages of issues. Would I need to have another application that would cross reference to have this type of calculated field? We are using Archer 5.5
Couple of ways to do this.
1) Make a secondary application with a sole record, and Xref all of your issues to it. You can then do any type of aggregation/averaging/etc you want on all the attached records with calc'd fields.
2) Utilize stats reporting type to build reports that calculate the percentages you need.
3) Publish the issue application with DPS, then either do your aggregation and reporting in SQL or hand the resultant DB over to another reporting software like Tableau, WebFOCUS, etc.
Thank you so much for this information. I was struggling with understanding the Xref function yesterday and will try that out.
Thus far my unit has not utilized the DPS functionality although I know that would be the best way to offer reporting at a more advanced level. Are you aware of any good documentation regarding DPS and setting it up?
