Configuration for Archer Service Accounts
I am looking to find a configuration file that has service account to start/run RSA Archer Services (Job Engine, Configuration, LDAP Synchronization, and Queueing). Whatever service account is used during the installation of Archer application has to be kept an used. The question is where is that configuraion stored and how is it stored?
As far as I know, that configuration is not stored by Archer, as it's needed by the OS when the service is called for any reason (start, stop, execute command, etc).
The installer just installs the service, and tells the OS that it will run as DOMAIN\user, which the OS then stores. Based on that, I'd be fairly confident that is that it's stored in a registry key under the Current Control Set's services option, but I cannot suggest that you go mucking around in the registry to update these.
If you are wanting to update the account used by the services, you have a couple of options. You can either rerun just the services portion of the installer with the new username and password, or you can go to each service one by one, and within the Properties > Log On Tab set the account you wish to use.
In addition to Scott's comments above, (a tip based on the previous installation learning with service account from another client) - you need to make sure that the password for the service account does not expire or has a longer expiry period. Each time the service account password expires, you need to follow the same process as mentioned above to update each RSA service running on the web and app servers.
