Conflict Resolution Pop-up while closing the record
In an application, once we complete all the sections and complete an assessment (Related Record) and when we click on 'Save and Close', I get the Conflict Resolution pop-up asking to select the value we determined or System generated value, but our value shows blank. It is not a calculated field either.
May I know why do we get this pop-up and can this be resolved ?
This is in Version 6.3P5

You get the conflict resolution pop-up when another process (say, a data feed or a scheduler,etc.,.) is trying to update a record which the user is currently editing. You can avoid this by changing the schedule of such data feeds or related components.
Hi Karthik ,
You can look at the below Links. Currently there is no way to prevent the Conflict Resolution dialog box.
Conflict Resolution also occurs when Findings are automatically generated and at the same time you are working and saving the record
Generally its better to follow System generated value.
Yes, when we complete the assessment, findings are automatically generated and also we have data feed that pulls those findings from Assessments(Related record questionnaire) to the main Application record. It is scheduled every 4 hours and we can't ask users to not work during these times. So, from what you are saying, it's better to follow System Generated Value ?
Yes, it's better to go with the System Generated Value unless the values are being overwritten by the user. It's really a conscience decision on which values to accept.
Any possibility to run the feeds nightly? Or look to locking the record; prevent editing until the feed completes the work?
David Petty So, I tried this again off the schedule when the data feed is not running and I realized this is still happening. I'm not sure why is this giving me an error when the Findings are from the Questionnaire (related record) and I'm able to save that assessment, but while saving the actual Application record, giving me the pop up
Something is updating the Application record other than the user. Do you have a History Log field and is tracking changes to the fields in question? If so, who's updating the field(s)?
