Hiding the predefined menus.
Can we hide these menus from a specific group of users after they'll login.
Objective: External users will fill-up a form designed in Archer. They should have restricted access to the system. Hence no menus like Preferences, Reports and Help should be visible to those users.
Thanks & Regards
Thanks Scott for your reply. I completely agree with you.
I'm thinking for a control on the following:
Reports: When an external user is login into the system he/she can able to see the list of the Global Reports under the Reports section, though they've not rights to view those records still I want to restrict them from viewing the listing too.
Help: They can easily access the RSA Archer help which is needed for them.
Preferences: They can play around with the menus. This one is not so challenging in putting some control than the above two ones.
Any idea for the first two items.
The framework wasn't really designed for granular control to all the settings within the framework.
For the master report list if the external users has no access to any application except for the that specific app. They will only see reports to said app. If you don't want them to see those reports change the access of those reports so that only internal users have access.
For Help there isn't really anything you can do aside from restricting access on the server side based on your authentication method. Doing so would generate a user name password prompt which might cause some calls to the help desk.
