I am working on a process that requires a data feed to populate a record permissions field with both a user and a group. The data feed is an A2A feed, but I have specified the username and group name values as static text. I can get the data feed to populate the field with only the user or the group, but I can't get it to put both the individual user and the group in the field at the same time. I tried separating the user and group names with a semicolon, but that only triggered a warning. Does anyone know how this can be done? Thanks in advance.
Matt, typically Archer with try to match the user first then try to match the group. Try just the group and see if Archer matches it properly.
What's the source for the data feed, csv, xml, sql?
Archer will match the group if it is alone, or the user if it is alone. The data feed is an A2A, but I am using a static text field for this as the user and group will always be the same.
Populating for the first time on record creation. It's set to replace in the configuration of the data feed. I have also tried appending and got the same result.
I'm thinking that being the field is static, Archer is having an issue trying to match a user and a group in one pass.
Try using database ID of the user and group instead.
Otherwise, if that record permission field isn't going to be touched by the users why not make it an automatic record permission field and populate the user and group that way.
