Issue Exporting PDF Ver 5.5
We have been getting the error message when exporting to PDF
"An error has occurred during the export process.
The export file cannot be completed
Contact your system administrator"
Can some guide me on this please, this is going issue

The log files will provide more detail on the specific problem that is occurring. This information will be necessary for us to provide any more help. If you are unsure where the details are being logged you can look at the Logging section of the Installation Settings tab in the Archer Control Panel (ACP) to find the log file path.
I am not seeing this issue in any environment. 5.5 SP3. Is it affecting every record in a single application? Is it affecting every record across all applications?
There used to be issues with exporting if a user copy/pasted from MS Word and brought over certain formatting elements. I would start there if the logs don't help.
These type issues usually happens due to incorrect data format in an Archer record when copied directly from an external source. Please review the logs to locate the exact content is creating the error and re-format the data, which will allow you to export the same.
The problem is tied to an individual record which does point to specific content causing the problem. Could be HTML code within a Rich Text field. I've also heard that copying the record and exporting the copy can resolve the issue. Especially if the record in question was migrated from another app or originally from a previous version of Archer.
We are experieincing the same issue within 5.5, but only for certain types of records. In particular, we have a record that includes a Cross Reference field with 8+ columns of data. On 5.2, these exported to PDF with no issues, but in 5.5 they fail for all records, regardless of content.
Does 5.5 have an issue processing PDF Exports when a Cross Reference field is present? When that Cross Reference field contains multiple columns? Is there an effort to restore?
We are using IE8.
I've also determined that there is indeed imbedded format content in all the records tested. User group is copying and pasting from another PDF into the cross reference field.
We've created new records from scratch and they export to PDF just fine. So they have some content clean up to do!
