Log Out Initiates Automatic Log In
I'm currently doing some testing where I'm logged in under my own account in Firefox and under a test account in IE. Sometimes I can log out of the test account in IE without any problem, but sometimes Archer automatically logs me back in as myself in IE so that I'm logged in under my own account in both Firefox and IE. When that happens I have to close both Firefox and IE and then log back in to Firefox under my own account and then back in to IE under a test account. This tends to slow down the testing process when it happens. We use multiple servers and are running version 5.5 SP2 HF1.
Has anybody else encountered this? Is there a way to prevent this from happening or a work around?
Firefox and IE should not share information so is perhaps a proxy behind this behaviour?
One thing to consider is that if the server is in the trusted zone then the browser will automatically present windows credentials. You can prevent this by removing the Archer server URL from the zone. This will then pop up a window when the Archer webserver requires SSO credentials - this might help debugging the problem.
This sounds like a bug that was fixed in 18.104.22.168 with the Logout button sending double clicks to the logout page and intermittently causing blank logout pages and re-logins with SSO or Windows Auth setup.
Check your Archer Server and open the RSA Archer Control Panel. Then open the instance settings. and click on the Web tab.
Do you have a custom logout behavior setup? If you accidentally set this to the base URL and you had SSO enabled, clicking logout would return your user to the SSO entry...and log them back in!
It's worth checking.
