Mail Merge's working unexpectedly after upgrade to 6.8 P1.
Archer upgraded to 6.8 P1 this weekend.
We found out that our mail merge templates are not working as expected. After exporting the index page is coming highlighted (earlier used to come as plain text), and most of the cross-ref fields are not fetching the data. Almost all of them, but few within are.
Anyone seeing the same issue. Any quick fix?
We are running into yearly certification activity and it is high priority. Any help will be appreciated.
Hi - I was informed by RSA Support today that Engineering is working on a hot fix to correct the template issue and that will be pushed out to Hosted Customers later this week or next week.
Hi – I posted an update on the Community site. I was informed this morning that Engineering is working on a fix to the template issue that will be pushed to hosted customers by the end of this week or next week.
Hi All - I just extracted a BCDR plan and the template pulled all of the data. I believe this issue has been resolved.
Hope you all enjoy your day.
Yes it is working pretty fine now. Thanks for the quick work around, RSA
Just one thing that i noticed is that the 'Table of Content (TOC)' is coming highlighted, earlier it used to come as plain text. Earlier if the content gets updated and lets say the page number got updated, if we used to right click on the 'TOC' page, it used to give update option that helps updating the page number/whole table.
Now the highlighted version is coming, and it does not give that update option. On the upper left of the table there is an option to insert the automatic TOC of your choice. But that adds a manual work because it changes the current TOC formatting.
Is there a way we can push it back to as it was earlier, the normal TOC. Screenshots for both of them:
The New one:
Old One: Here if we right click, it gives update table option.
This is the template one:
In the template I picked the automatic TOC from top left, and uploaded it, but still in the export it is coming highlighted and that is without a TOC format. Meaning if we click update table on the top right it gives the below pop up:
Gurdeep, apologies for the Mail Merge issues that you encountered in Hosted. We realized that the upgrade to 188.8.131.52 would surface this for customers and immediately developed a hotfix to remediate. This was completed last July 16-17 for NP and then PROD. The following are the Mail Merge issues fixed in the patch. I am hearing that the issue is resolved, but please respond if you are experiencing otherwise.
- Mail Merge Output Only Contains 1 Cross-Reference When Multiple Are Used
- Mail Merge IF statement outputs the Mail Merge Code instead of data in a cross-reference - If the statement evaluates to true
