Notifications: Failed to Add Contacts for Record Permissions Field on Content
The following error is written to our log files when an instant DDE notification is triggered in one of our applications:
Failed to add contacts for field '12345' on content '0000001'.
The source is ArcherTech.Notifications and field '12345' is a record permissions field. The notification is sent and received without issue, but we'd like to resolve this problem so that the error is no longer written to our log files every time this notification is triggered. Has anyone come across this error or know how to fix it?

I would start by checking that every user and group, and if group every user in that group and any nested groups, actually got the email and has a valid email address. Could be a case where your perm field has 50 people in it, and 1 of them has a bad email or something thus tripping this warning but allowing the other 49 recipients to receive.
I believe this can happen if notification filters evaluate to true but there is no recipient available.
In our case we filter for "Record Permission Field changed" but in some cases the record permission field changed from not empty to empty. Because the filter criteria evaluates to true Archer tries to send the notification to an empty recipient (the same record permission field used in the filter).
A possible solution would be to add an additional filter criteria to assure the email is only sent if the record permission field is not empty.
