Populate table-style field
What I am looking for is a table style field. Let's say that we need a 4 columns by 10 rows table. In this table, columns are asking for information and in the rows, the user supplies answer to the tables via text fields, numeric, and date fields. What I am looking to re-create is similar to a table below.
That, to me, looks like what you'd accomplish with a cross-reference or sub-form. Each BU would have it's own related record, and would work on that record itself. You would then gather the column info in this record, and when they save, it will be reflected back on the parent record along with all the other BU info.
Thank you! That would certainly work. I have yet to test it out. What I am also wondering: is it possible to have that table be available for population/editing by end-users? I.e. if someone is creating a record, can he/she be able to edit that table?
Thank you for your response.
Till date we're using a sub-form/x-reference field as a Grid to show up similar view only. Probably we may raise an enhancement request to RSA for having a tabular kind of field in its upcoming release. But only for display purpose you may use the same concept as "Questionnaire Summary (static field)" uses (html codes) in every questionnaire to show up the result display.
Yes in the sub-form field (in your application) users will populate the required data. Also please make a note that you need to check the "Edit own Records" OR "Edit all records" (option inside the sub-form field) to allow users to modify their records accordingly.
