Report / date assistance
Every year we have to update 200 report filters. We have to update them to look at a date field and say greater then 06/30/20. We do that because our enrolment season starts in July and we need to reset everything.
I am thinking instead of having to update 200 report filters each year, I should be able to create a date field.
Call the field enrollment season and default it to 06/30/20 I have each filter look at that field.
So each year all I have to update the default date in the enrollment season field.
There should some date function or comparison that I can do to not have to go into 200 report filters each year.
Unfortunately if you hardcode the date field in the report filter, you have to go exactly over 200 reports.
However, if you have some harcoded date field in the record, then can make some conditional calculated VL = Yes/No based on the date field, and now you can use hardcoded Yes values in the report filter.
And I encourage you to vote for these ideas
Ok so I created a field called Year. I default it to 2021.
I created a field called Current Year? value list yes or no So I need a formula.
If Year = 2021 then Yes
I think this will save us. each year we just need to update the Year and Current Year? fields.
Im picturing it looking something like this I am not too good at formulas
IF(((DATEDIF([YEAR],year) = 2021),
Mm, if you need to check ALL records created for example in current year, then I would do:
YEAR([First Published]) = YEAR(TODAY()),
What if I just want to look at the field Year = 2021? The reason is because we are not on calendar year.
[year] = 2021
Somerhing like this.
VALUEOF([Year]) = "2021")
