Run Calculation After Data Feed Completes
We have vulnerability data feed which fetches 100k data every week. To complete the data feed it take 42-48 Hours, I am planning to use below token, My idea is to run the full calculation application once feed completes. Does any one has idea how can we trigger automatically full calculation of application once data feed completes.

Thank You. i this case i should keep ExecuteCalcs =True in original feed and Keep Link only for Cross Reference and Related Record Field, Once Data Feed Completes i should run Data Feed of Related Record to update the calculation right?
You can keep ExecuteCalcs=False and CrossReference LinkOnly in the original feed.
But it would be better to put all fields critical to calculate as Always calculate, and run 2nd feed with ExecuteCalcs = True
May I also suggest you create a new field within the DF, make it calculated using DATEDIF and only pull in the last 7 days, use the output of the Calc as a filter on the next subtab?

We have application structure like
Group->Functional Unit -> Sector -> GD -> Department -> Application -> Devices -> VuLnerabilities
Now whenever we run data feed for Vulnerability , it runs calculation for all the above application for each vulnerabilities, those making data feed to slow,
Can you please guide me , How can we make run calculation only in Vulnerability Application During Data Feed and Run calculation on other application once Vulnerability Data feed is completed.
First, I do not know of any way to prevent the calculations from running on the cross referenced application records. Vulnerabilities typically have longer running data feeds and is important to optimize these as much as possible, or even split them up into multiple feeds, or re-think your process and scheduling.
Second, to ensure every record is recalculated, similar to Ilya's reply, I use a helper text field instead of a values list. I update the helper text field with a date/time stamp. This way this fields gets updated and triggers the record recalc. Here is how I do this:
- Use an Archer to Archer data feed (A2A) for handling the records to be updated.
- create a helper text field in the application, just call it H - Time Stamp and set the alias to H_TimeStamp
- In the A2A data feed, you will need to add a new source field, rename it to H_Now, change it to calculation, set the formula to NOW()
- In the A2A data feed field mapping tab, map H_Now to H_TimeStamp
Thank You Nolan,
I Still failed to understand what is the difference between running the calculation while fetching vulnerability feed and Disabling calculation while running actual data feed and creating new data feed to run the calculation.
Does creating another data feed for calculation improves performance.
