Set Date DDE not working
I have a requirement where I need to set a date to a future date.
In Rule the criteria to set date is dpendant on a calculated field (When ever value changes in calculated field eevent shoud be triggered to change date)
Action associated is SetDate with it. But due to some reason set date event is not triggering on a calculated field. Has someone experienced similar issue ? Or can we trigger set date on a calculated Rule ? We are using archer 5.4.1.SP1

The problem you have is that the calculated field will not be calculated until the record is saved and once the record is saved DDEs have no effect.
What are you trying to accomplish?
Calculations only run on a record save event, whereas DDEs run as soon as the event happens in the record. So the DDE event is looking for criteria that hasn't been met.
The DDE is running, then the calculation.
I am having the same problem. Have you figured out how to set your date based on a calculated field change? Do we need to submit this as an enhancement request or does anyone know of a workaround?
As a workaround what I can think is to configure an A2A data feed. In case of a future date we can hard-code this date and in case of current date we can use the Last Updated system field to fill that same date into the date field.
As far as I understand the "Rules Session" is invoked only when some value is changed manually on the layout. The only event which gets invoked during Save / Apply is the "Generate Notification". Since the other type of events are not evaluated during save / apply, your calculation will not be considered for the "Set Date" event rule. This process flow was introduced for version 5.1.4 and above.
