Why would an alias give a failed login?
I've issued a new certificate to our web server including the aliases users could use to reach the site. (We're using SSO) All the aliases work except one, and when I try to use the alias I get a: "We were not able to log you on to the system: Unable to validate user account."
Is there a reason a particular alias would fail to log users in?
Its not as if the alias didn't exist because then I wouldn't be able to get to the site at all. And the other aliases work, so I know I've bound the cert to the site. I can get to the site, but it just fails to authenticate.
Thomas a few reasons why the user account would fail:
- Password is incorrect
- Account is locked out
- Typo/Trailing space in the user account
- User Domain was selected when it should be set to No Domain
yeah but we're using SSO, so theres no manual user error.
Alias A, Alias B, and Alias C all point to the same web server (validated through nslookup). Alias A and Alias B log me into Archer as expected, but Alias C gives me "We were not able to log you on to the system: Unable to validate user account."
