Export of a record is truncating a text field in RSA Archer
RSA Product Set: Archer RSA Version/Condition: 5.x, 6.x Platform: Windows
When exporting records, the content of the records seem to truncate or appear outside of the margins of the exported document.
The text most likely has an input mask; for example: telephone. Hence the data should be entered in a specific format, such as 111-111-1111. However, we can over ride the data validation in a datafeed and enter the value in a different format such as 111/111/1111.
The data for the text field will look fine when we open the record; however when we export it, it will truncate the data when it finds '/', as it is invalid.
Enter the data in the correct format and the export will work fine.
This also occurs if the content has been copied from a source that contains HTML formatting then pasting the text into the text fields in Archer. Pasting this formatted content into the text fields can introduce rogue HTML elements that may interfere with the rich text editor's ability to export the content properly in Archer.
A workaround for this is to first paste the content into a text editor, such as Notepad to remove the formatted elements, then paste them into the text field or text area field in Archer.
