Archer contains fixes for multiple security vulnerabilities that could potentially be exploited by malicious users to compromise the affected system.
Archer has been updated for the following vulnerabilities: • Insecure Credential Storage Vulnerability with Archer Tableau Integration – CVE-2021-29253 The Archer Tableau integration in 6.4 P1 (220.127.116.11) through 6.9 P2 (18.104.22.168) is affected by an insecure credential storage vulnerability. A malicious attacker with access to the Tableau workbook file may obtain access to credential information to use it in further attacks. CVSSv3.1 Base Score: 5.1 (AV:L/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N) • Stored Cross-site Scripting Vulnerability – CVE-2021-29252 Archer before 6.9 SP1 P1 (22.214.171.124) contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability. A remote authenticated malicious Archer user with access to modify link name fields could potentially exploit this vulnerability to execute code in a victim’s browser. For CVE-2021-29253, the following Archer releases contain a resolution to this vulnerability: • Archer version 6.9 SP1 (126.96.36.199) or higher • Archer version 6.9 P2 (188.8.131.52) or higher • Archer version 6.8 P5 (184.108.40.206) or higher • Archer version 6.7 P8 (220.127.116.11) or subsequent 6.7 CPRs • Archer version 6.6 P8 (18.104.22.168) or subsequent 6.6 CPRs
For CVE-2021-29252, the following Archer releases contain a resolution to this vulnerability: • Archer version 6.9 SP1 P1 (22.214.171.124) or higher • Archer version 6.8 P5 (126.96.36.199) or higher • Archer version 6.7 P8 (188.8.131.52) or subsequent 6.7 CPRs • Archer version 6.6 P8 (184.108.40.206) or subsequent 6.6 CPRs
Note: Archer version 6.9 (220.127.116.11) and its subsequent CPRs do not contain a fix for this issue, please upgrade to the 6.9 Service Pack release
