Allow email changes on RSA Link account
It would be nice if I could change my email address on my RSA Link account. Right now, if I change companies or my company changes email addresses (due to a merger or name change), I have to have a whole new account created. I lose all the history of things I have posted, my followers, and my followees (but Denise Sposato is amazing at moving gamification points for us). It's hard to keep track of people that you have made connections with, and can't be easy to manage on the backend.
Andrea and all who wish that it was easier to update email addresses on RSA Link and not lose followers, history of content posted, etc.:
I have had discussions with RSA Link (Jeff Shurtliff) and unfortunately, for now, because of the authentication process used by Link, it is not possible to update email addresses without re-registering.
The good news is that IT is working on updating the authentication process to SecurID Access, but there is no firm ETA; it should be within the next several months.
RSA Link knows how important this is to community members, especially for those that engage often so it is a priority. The updated authentication process is part of a much larger IT project and they are working on it. As any updates become available, Jeff or I will make sure we post updates here.
When re-registering, your content does remain, and gamification points can be moved over to your new email account from the prior one by sending an email with your old email address and the new to firstname.lastname@example.org, or to email@example.com, Attn: CRD Team
