RSA, The Security Division of EMC, announces Adaptive Authentication for eCommerce v15.0
The RSA Adaptive Authentication for eCommerce V15.0 Products Solution is a comprehensive authentication and fraud detection solution for the eCommerce market. The solution is based on the 3DSecure protocol (Verified By Visa, MasterCard SecureCode and American Express SafeKey) and is powered by risk-based authentication, an intelligent system that authenticates users by measuring a series of risk indicators. This transparent authentication provides for a unique user experience as customers are only challenged in the highest risk scenarios.
Version 15.0 introduces the following functional and technical enhancements:
American Express SafeKey Protocol Support
RSA integrates Adaptive Authentication for eCommerce with the American Express SafeKey protocol.
Card issuers opting to enable this capability, are able to offer the 3D Secure protection to an eCommerce purchaser using an American Express card.
Back Office API
The Back Office API enables the organization to integrate the failed 3DSecure and Adaptive Authentication for eCommerce transactions into your existing (non-RSA) system, such as Case Management or Customer Service applications and investigates those flagged transactions in those systems that you may be using.
The 3DSecure Deactivation feature enables an issuer to disable Verified By Visa, MasterCard SecureCode and American Express SafeKey Protocol Support services. It permits customer service representatives to provide an enhanced user experience to the customers for completing online transactions. This feature is provided in addition to the Transaction Monitoring deactivation.
A new field OOB SMS has been added to the Billing Report which tracks the number of Out-of-Band (OOB) SMS step-up authentication requests.
Tooltips for New Web Reports
Tooltips were added to the new Web Reports so that the customer can access information in a simplified manner.
Below are the planned installation dates of Adaptive Authentication for eCommerce v15.0:
US hosting center: 3 February 2013 Cap Gemini
UK hosting center: 10 February 2013 Slough
