AAOP - Assist with configuring Mirroring connection set up for sql server database
RSA Product Set: Adaptive Authentication (OnPrem) RSA Product/Service Type: Adaptive Authentication (OnPrem) RSA Version/Condition: 7.1 Platform: Windows Platform (Other): Tomcat 6/7 O/S Version: Windows Product Name: Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2
Adaptive Authentication database connection does not work after adding mirroring.
Connection string needs to specify the database instance names on both the primary and mirror server connection.
Lookup the database instance name for both the primary and failover database and use them in the connection URL. Just add a backslash between servername and servicename (instance) for each DB server. You can look them up with the following SQL:
select @@servername + '\' + @@servicename
So your connection URLs in server.xml would be something like: jdbc:sqlserver://DEVSQLB\SQLB;databaseName=AA_CORE;portNumber=99999;failoverPartner=BACKUPSQLA\SQLA
Also, ensure that the user mapping is the same between both servers for all databases. Sometimes the mirror can lose the mapping and may need further configuration to maintain them synchronized.
