Issue

AxM -  Access Manager Impact to SUN's Java EOL ( End Of Life) plans for jre 1.4 and 1.5.

ClearTrust 5.5 uses SUN jre 1.4 and Access Manager 6.0 uses SUN jre 1.5.  SUN has announced the Revised EOL for both as of October 2009. See SUN support roadmap below:

Resolution

Support for JRE 1.5 will be the same as with 5.5.3 and JRE 1.4.  We will support 6.0.x with 1.5 even after SUN EOL's it this year based on a support agreement RSA has with SUN. 

RSA recommends that you download the latest 1.4.2 version which is 1.4.2_18.

For 1.5 installations, please grab the latest version of JRE 5

Notes

Access Manager 6.1 will be qualified with JRE 5 and 6.
